Change or reset your password

For your security, if you forgot or need to change your password to access Autodesk systems again, follow the steps below.

    Check that you have Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile device.
  • 2
    Go to the Microsoft Online Password Reset page and follow the prompts.
  • 3
    Make sure your new password follows the requirements below.

Password requirements

Passwords must be at least 14 characters long and include at least 3 of the following:
Uppercase letters (A through Z)
Lowercase letters (a through z)
Numbers (0 through 9)
Special characters (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;""<>,.?/)
Additionally, Autodesk passwords are evaluated against the following patterns:
Weak passwords (e.g. 'Password123456!')
Known weak passwords (e.g. 'Changeme123456!' or 'Contoso!123456')
Autodesk company name or product names within the password (e.g. 'Autodesk101010!' or '@ut0desk123456')
Compromised passwords that were publicly published in a previous data breach

  • If you reset your password while not connected to the Autodesk network (i.e., you are not connected via VPN or in the office), your password will be updated on Autodesk's servers, but not updated locally on your computer.   • Resetting your password uses Microsoft Authenticator to verify your identity. If you don't have an active Authenticator account, please contact the Enterprise Service Desk, +1-415-507-8888, for assistance.
